Boat Rental

This is the one thing that makes staying on a canal in Siesta Isles different from staying on the beach. Rent a boat for a day or the week, tie it up at our private dock, and the whole coast opens up on your own schedule. Head down the canal to the bay, run north to Sanibel and Captiva, drop anchor on a sandbar at low tide or idle around Estero Bay watching for dolphins.

Several local rental outfits offer pontoons, deck boats and center consoles, and most will deliver to the house if you ask. Pontoons are the easy choice for families and sightseeing; a center console is better if you want to fish or get out into the Gulf. No special license is needed for most guests, though anyone born after 1988 needs a Florida boating safety card, which can be done online in an afternoon.

Book well ahead for holidays and spring break. Go out on a morning tide for the calmest water, and keep an eye on the afternoon sky in summer. Ask us for a chart of the canal route out; it is a straightforward run.
