We built this collection the way we would choose a place for our own trip. Real space matters more than square footage on paper; a home needs rooms people will actually use, not just square footage that looks good in a listing photo. Easy access to the water matters more than a marketing description of “steps from the beach.” And none of it matters if the place has the kind of surprises, a broken air conditioner, a lockbox that does not work, a host who never answers, that turn a vacation into a chore.
Every property we add goes through the same filter: would we send a friend here without hesitating. If the answer is not an immediate yes, it does not go in the collection. That means we turn down homes that would technically fill inventory but do not meet the standard, which is exactly the opposite of how the big listing platforms are built to operate. They want more listings. We want the right ones.
What that looks like in practice is a small, curated set of Fort Myers Beach homes, each chosen for real proximity to the Gulf, honest photos that match what you will actually find when you arrive, and the kind of layout that works whether you are a family of six or two couples splitting a week. We would rather guests choose between three excellent options than scroll through thirty mediocre ones.
